Dining On Chef Kunal Kapur's Yellow Table

As much as I enjoy watching cooking shows on TV, I am not too fond of the ones that have the chef boringly demonstrate a recipe in a monotone. Which is why when I stumbled across a show called 'My Yellow Table' during it's first season on NDTV Good Times, I decided to watch. The episode had Chef Kunal Kapur cooking up a storm with his childhood friend amidst laughter, friendly banter, and loads of fun. 'This is a cooking show with a difference', I thought.

The second season of My Yellow Table follows a similar concept - Chef Kunal demonstrating his signature dishes with the help of celebrity guests.  Talking about Season 2, Arati Singh, Channel Head, NDTV Good Times said, “We are happy to present My Yellow Table - By Invitation, with Chef Kunal Kapur.  The previous season received great response from the audience and the new season will see the show take the recipes, fun and food talk a notch higher." This time the show traveled from Delhi to Mumbai, and brought us a special preview night with Chef Kunal himself demonstrating a few of his favorite dishes.
The Many Moods of Chef Kunal

We learnt how to make a light, well seasoned pomelo salad - a fruit I wouldn't touch with a barge pole. We gorged on the most sinful Banoffee sandwiches - a recipe I replicated later at home. Chef Kunal also taught us how to take the perfect Instagram food shot - he's really cool like that! If the night was any indication of the foodie fun in store, I am sure it will be an entertaining, and delicious second season as well.

You can tune into Season II of My Yellow Table – By Invitation starting 9th January, Saturday and Sunday, 9 pm only on NDTV Good Times because cooking has never been so easy and so much fun!
